  • Orthokeratology. Our optometrist Joyce is highly trained in Ortho-K, a safe, non-surgical treatment that gently reshapes the cornea while you sleep, using specially designed rigid contact lenses. This overnight reshaping corrects your vision without the need to wear spectacles or contact lenses during the day. It is ideal for mild to moderate myopia and can be used to slow down myopia progression in children

  • Sports Sunglasses and Safety Eyewear specialist, including Oakley, Rudy Project, Revo, Serengeti and Bolle and the new Oakley Meta range.

  • Children’s eye examinations, including myopia control and management

We can organise repairs of most spectacles, and do not charge for replacing screws and nose pieces;

Founded and let by optometrist Robyn Cottier, we are a boutique, independent practice built on genuine relationships, personalised care and a deep commitment to helping every patient see their world more clearly.

Robyn founded Clovelly Optical in 2002 and has been in the heart of the practice ever since. A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Robyn brings over 33 years of experience across practices in Adelaide, Sydney and Hong Kong, and has an enduring passion for the work she does every day. For Robyn, optometry has always been about people as much as vision. She has a natural gift for listening, and taking the time to understand each patient’s unique needs before arriving at the right solution. To her, the ability to improve someone’s sight is a genuine privilege - one she never takes for granted. Her warmth, curiosity and care are felt by every patient who walks through the door.

Joyce is a talented and dedicated optometrist with a passion for all things eyes and particularly loves fitting contact lenses especially Ortho K - which is a specialty area of vision correction that allows people to see clearly during the day without glasses or contact lenses, after wearing a contact lens at night that temporarily reshapes the cornea. She has a natural gift for communication, taking complex clinical information and making it feel approachable and easy to understand. Her patients appreciate her expertise, warmth and enthusiasm she brings to help them achieve their best possible vision.

Tony, Debbie and Amelia have over 35 years experience as qualified optical dispensers and all have a passion for their craft. With all their experience and knowledge they have an incredible understanding of guiding you to choose the perfect pair of spectacles, with an instinct honed over decades. They do this with genuine warmth and an expert eye.

Tony’s passion for sports eyewear, especially cycling, is known throughout Sydney. His reputation for solving tricky prescriptions in wraparound and performance frames has earned him a loyal following of athletes, professional sportspeople and weekend warriors. He takes the time to understand exactly how and where you train and perform, so the solution he prescribes truly fits your life.
